1983 Snowdonia After intense rainfall 3 September there were many landslides, 2 blocked the A5 trunkroad at Nant Ffrancon, some ended near the HEP station at Cwm Dyli SE of Snowdon

1929 Rhigos Mountain Road,
runs N from the Rhondda Valley to the Heads of the Valley road and links to Tower Colliery. It was opened Nov 1929, the wettest winter on record and closed by a landslide within one week. The road has constantly been affected by landslides and was closed for a period in 2000.

1930 Rhymney Valley, New Tredegar slide. The rainfall in Oct 1929 and Jan 1930 was over 180% higher than the average in the region, the highest rainfall in the 51 year record.

1954 Ebbw Fach Valley, Blaina, E Pentwyn Here a crack and scarp appeared after a dry period. Movement in the West Side landslide in 1999. 2.3 metres /year

1994 N Pembrokeshire,St Dogmaels. An old landslide was re-activated in Jan/Feb during a period of intense and prolonged rainfall.
