INFORMATION AND EARLY WARNING

The Environment Agency web site has interactive maps which allow you to explore any part of Wales to a local scale. View the maps here

This gives you detailed information on:

  • areas of sea and river flooding where there are no defences
  • the extent of an extreme flood
  • flood defences
  • areas protected by flood defences
The site also gives daily amber and red flood alerts updated every 15 minutes.

It gives links to other emergency sites that may be useful.

A flood alert has been given for your area. Use the web sites to draw a poster, designed to be placed in your local Community Centre, showing all the local help available and where people might go for this help.
www.ukresilience.info/flooding is a web site which helps you prepare for emergency should your local area become flooded. It gives information on all aspects of flooding including:

  • the level of alert in your area,
  • where you can go to get sandbags,
  • how to clean up your home after a flood.
