RIVER LEVELS
There will be
- more rain in the winter. This results in the ground becoming saturated.
- heavier rain in the winter. This does not soak into the ground so easily.
- more drought in the summer. This, with higher temperatures, will bake the soil.

this will result in:
- increased rainfall ‘run off’ as ‘overland flow’
- rain water falling on valley sides reaching rivers more quickly by flowing over the surface
- the level of rivers rising quickly
- a higher chance that rivers will overflow banks and flood.
