CASE STUDY: BAGLAN BAY ENERGY PARK

Baglan Bay industrial site has the world’s most technically advanced and environmentally friendly power plant Technology – H System™ turbine.

  • The power plant has low levels of greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Energy Park users have up to 30% lower energy bills.
  • Manufacturing industries that use a large amount of energy are attracted to the site. e.g. in 2004 Intertissue, which converts paper into other paper products moved onto the Energy Park.

  • A Solar Centre is used as the site visitors’ centre and shows how photovoltaic cells forming the south-facing wall of the building can reduce the heating needed.
