IN OUR WAY OF LIFE

Everyone leaves an ecological footprint.

The Footprint calculates

  • how much land and sea is needed to provide us with the energy, water and materials we use in our everyday lives.
  • the emissions generated from the oil, coal and gas we burn,
  • how much land is required to absorb our waste.

Your footprint is made up of the following
Transport Aeroplanes, cars, trains and buses
Food Fruit, vegetables, meat, milk, takeaways, fast food
Consumables and durables Magazines, furniture, fridges and many other products
Energy and water Infrastructure Gas, electricity, coal, oil, renewable energy water consumption
Infrastructure Housing stock and commercial development
Waste Household and commercial waste, recycling and composting
Land use Agricultural land, roads and built land
