What do you think of the 2005 Renewable Energy Strategy for Wales?
Opinions on the 2005 strategy adapted from Western Mail 13 July 2005

Friends of the Earth, Cymru
Although Friends of the Earth, Cymru is taking a leading role in supporting other renewable energy systems, such as solar power, energy crops, tidal lagoons and wave power, we recognize these cannot yet deliver the amounts of clean energy required to address climate change’

Leader of the Opposition, Welsh Assembly Government, Nick Bourne
We will be supporting the fights against individual wind farms across Wales. Other avenues need to be looked at – tidal, wave, solar, HEP – instead of these unsightly things which are not proven to be efficient or reliable in the amount of energy they produce. The [Welsh] Government seem to have a bee in their bonnet when it comes to wind farms’

Brechfa Forest Energy Action Group
This is the death knell for the Welsh uplands. We want to get tourists and in Brechfa Forest money has just been invested in mountain biking tracks. But that’s no good if you look up and see something bigger than the Statue of Liberty’
