Professional development is not just to do with education or training and the development of skills and interests. It is about appreciating what motivates a worker to learn so that they can achieve their full potential.

Development

Continuing professional development, or CPD, is the term used to describe the learning activities health and social care workers engage in to develop and enhance their abilities. It refers to planned, ongoing formal and informal activities that contribute to the development of knowledge, skills, experience and understanding to improve practice and support lifelong learning.

Datblygiad proffesiynol parhaus, neu DPP, yw'r term a ddefnyddir i ddisgrifio'r gweithgareddau dysgu y mae gweithwyr iechyd a gofal cymdeithasol yn ymgymryd â nhw er mwyn meithrin a gwella eu galluoedd.
