Natural Attractions

Part of the appeal of North Wales is the wide range of natural attractions found within the destination. Within the Snowdonia National Park there are many spectacular views and some of the best scenery in Wales.

Snowdonia, a stunningly beautiful and mountainous land, carved by glaciers and bathed in mystery.

Mount Snowdon itself is visited by many thousands of tourists each year, many of who climb the mountain by a number of tracks, and some of whom take the Snowdon Mountain Railway to the summit of the mountain where a new visitor centre has recently been opened.

There are other mountain ranges in North Wales which are equally impressive, such as Y Carneddau, Y Glyderau, Y Rhinogau and Cader Idris

Away from the mountains the spectacular award-winning coastline of the Cambrian Coast and Llyn Peninsular stretches for 300 kilometres with breathtaking views, beautiful beaches and secluded coves and bays.

The North Wales is popular for water sports enthusiasts.

From sailing and water-skiing, jet skiing to surfing, rock-pooling or fishing, the ever-changing coastline of North Wales has everything to offer.

The estuaries and coastline, the mountains, hills, river valleys and the ancient woodlands of the Snowdonia Mountains and Coast all contribute to the areas rich range of wildlife.
